Student Grid Balance Amount

The balance amount that is displayed on the student grid can be changed to display:

• Total Balance:

  The total balance of a student's account is the summation of all transactions that are posted to the account. This included all transactions that occur in the future.

• Current Balance:

  The current balance of a student's account is the summation of all transactions that have occurred on the current date or in the past. This amount reflects the total that a student owes the Business as of todays date.

• MTD (Month-to-date) Balance:

  The MTD Balance of a student's account consists of the summation of all transactions that have occurred in the current month or in the past. If your business charges students on a monthly basis, this figure will reflect the outstanding monthly balance owed by students and families.

To change the type of balance that is displayed on the student grid, follow these instructions:

1. Click on "Administration" in the main menu.
2. Click on "Settings" in the sub menu.
3. Look for the setting name labeled "Grid Balance Display"
4. Click on "Edit" next to the setting.
5. Enter in "Total" as the value if you want the Total Balance displayed in the grid. Enter in "Current" as the value if you want Current Balance displayed in the grid. Enter in "MTD" if you want the Month-to-date Balance displayed in the grid.
6. Click on the "Save" button to save the setting changes.
7. Click on the "Students" main menu to see the new balance in the grid.
